Test guides for local government examinations are made available 60 days prior to the date of the written test. Paper copies of test guides for local government examinations are also available by contacting the appropriate.
. Print and Online Collection The provides access to a growing collection of over 500 Civil Service Study Guides. These Guides may be checked out for twenty one (21) days and can be renewed up to three times.
In addition to the circulating collection, reference copies are available for most of the titles. Please note: Reference materials may only be used in the library. They cannot be checked out. The Civil Service Collection is located against the office in Social Sciences. Ask the Librarian OR check the binder for the special Call Number. You can also access selected practice tests on, found under “Research Databases” on the website.
Exams include: Federal Clerical, Postal Worker, Cosmetology, EMT-Basic, Paramedic, Firefighter, and general civil service exams. Law Enforcement exams are also included, such as Police Officer, Court Officer, and Treasury Enforcement Agent.
