Master Control Panel with Pendant Plug2. Open the master control panel door, turn on the master control switch, and open all vacuum relief valves. If you are using a remote pendant, plug in the remote pendant and carry the pendant to the working end of the vacuum hose. If you are not using a remote pendant, make sure the master control panel operator has a clear view to the vacuum hose operator at all times. If you are vacuuming dry material, on the master control panel, turn on the air cannon/pulsation switch. Close all manual and automatic vacuum relief valves except for the in-line safety relief valve.

Make sure the master control panel/remote pendant operator has a clear light of sight and communication with the hose operator. When the hose operator is ready to begin, increase the RPM’s to the desired level for the job being performed.Note: The best RPM setting is the lowest amount of RPM that will convey the material into the hose and carry it to the tank.

This will depend on the type and density of the material, the total hose length and how far the material has to travel to the tank, as well as the type of hose being used. If you are not sure what amount of RPM to use, begin with a low setting around 900-1000. Begin vacuuming and if the material is not flowing smoothly and consistently through the hose, slowly increase the RPM until you reach the desired flow of material. When you are ready to vacuum, position the vacuum hose at the bottom of the pile to be vacuumed and close the in-line safety relief valve. Begin vacuuming by using a side to side sweeping motion. When vacuuming your material, allow some air to enter the hose along with the debris.

Do not bury the hose in the debris pile. This will restrict or stop the air flow and prevent material from entering the debris tank.

This may also cause hose blockage or engine overload. Safety Notice: Never attempt to “guide” or push debris to the open end of the hose with your foot or hand. Vacuum suction is powerful enough to suck an arm or a leg into the hose. Do not reach into the vacuum hose to free clogs. Always open vacuum relief valves and reduce RPM before attempting to dislodge any obstructions in the vacuum hose. If the air flow is not large enough to carry the material, increase the RPM slightly at the master control panel. Do not over speed the blower as that will create excessive overflow of the debris into the cyclone chamber and the baghouse, resulting in a drop in efficiency.

It will also make the engine work harder that it really has to.
